Molybdenum-Jones' history goes back a long way.
Founded in 1927 on its present site in Wilmslow, Cheshire, Molybdenum-Jones was known as W.H. Jones & Co, a family run business supplying Rolls Royce and General Electric.
During World War II we took to the air - switching to munitions with engine extinguisher pipes for the Rolls Royce Merlin engine, as used in the Spitfire, Hurricane (above) and Lancaster aircraft.
Today we supply molybdenum components and fabrications to customers worldwide.
High-class stainless steel fabrications such as mini vat pasteurisers and cheese vats are ordered by our clients in the dairy industry. Bespoke items in copper, brass, aluminium, steel etc. are also in great demand.
We have come a long way since the Twenties. The level of skill and craftmanship has been retained from the old days, but we are ready to take on the challenges the Twenty-first Century holds for us.
